The Swim for Life Swimmer level provides a comprehensive progression from foundational skills to advanced techniques. Spanning Swimmer levels 1 through 6, the program focuses on stroke development, endurance, and deep-water confidence. Lessons are held in small groups to ensure personalized attention and steady improvement.
Building a Strong Aquatic Foundation, Step by Step
We break down techniques step-by-step, ensuring every child builds a strong aquatic foundation:
- Water Entry & Exit: Kids practice safe entry and exit techniques, such as using ladders, steps, or controlled jumps.
- Breath Control & Underwater Skills: Children learn to hold their breath, open their eyes without goggles, and swim underwater for up to 10 meters.
- Buoyancy & Floating: Mastery of floating on front and back, and transitioning smoothly between positions.
- Glides & Streamlining: Focus on body alignment in front and back glides to reduce drag and increase speed.
- Kicking Techniques: Coverage of front and back Flutter kick, Whip kick for breaststroke, and the professional Eggbeater kick for endurance.
Distance & Technique Goals
100 Meters
Coordinated breathing, full arm extension, and natural body rotation for efficient forward propulsion.
100 Meters
Steady rhythm, proper head position, and consistent flutter kick to maintain alignment and speed.
50 Meters
Effective whip kick combined with a controlled glide phase for smooth, powerful breaststroke movement.
Real-World Aquatic Safety Skills
- Deep-Water Skills: Practice treading water using various techniques and building resilience for real-world scenarios.
- Water Smart® Messages: Integrated lessons on currents, cold water safety, never swimming alone, and basic self-rescue.
- Diving Skills: Proper techniques for streamlined entries and surface glides, always prioritizing safety.
- Endurance Development: Children work toward swimming 100+ meters with controlled breathing and rhythm.

Everything You Need to Know
Does my child need prior swimming experience?
No prior experience is required for entry. We assess each child on the first day to place them in the correct Swimmer level (1–6), ensuring a comfortable and confident start.
What equipment does my child need?
Just a swimsuit, towel, and goggles. We provide all in-water equipment and a supportive, structured learning environment.
How safe are the pool sessions?
Pools range up to 2 meters deep. Certified lifeguards and qualified instructors are always on duty to ensure every child's safety throughout every session.
How long does it take to complete the program?
Most children complete all six levels in 6–12 months with weekly classes. Progress is paced individually so every child can succeed confidently at every level.
